DDLE Korean Restaurant

A recent restaurant opened a Korean restaurant near Coquitlam center. This was recommended by my sister. The place was clean and spacious. There was a lot of sunlight coming through the restaurant. Apparently this place used to be a karaoke bar.

We had the Bossam Combo which consisted of thinly sliced pork belly boiled in spices and side dishes such as white carrot, spicy radish etc. My mom ordered the Ojingeo Bokkeum Combo which consists of spicy stir-fried squid and vegetables that came with Siraegi (dried radish) soup and rice. We also shared a kimchi Jeon which is a kimchi pancake. My little sister ordered the chicken and vegetables with rice cake and cheese.

We also had the Siraegi Galbi-Tang which consisted of Siraegi (dried radish greens) soup with beef short ribs. I ordered a spicy kimchi stew (Kimchi Jigae). It was a bit on the sour end. Not as spicy as I like it but it was impactful with lots of flavours.

Side dishes consisted of bean sprouts the one with the larger beans (which I do not like, I prefer the smaller bean sprouts, spicy radish, marinated glass noodles they use for japchae without the vegetables etc. marinated green bell peppers, zucchini, sour cabbage. My favorite side dish was the glass noodles and the spicy radish.

We also ordered the meal combos which is served with a bowl of rice and Siraegi Soup (dried radish).
Overall, the food was quite tasty. The service was quick and efficient but the food took awhile to come because they had waited for the majority of dishes to finish before serving. I prefer having food done quickly than waiting for all the order to come at once. I will definitely come back to try out the other dishes.
