Pho Song

Woke up and grabbed lunch with bf's parents at Pho Song. We have been here before once. The first time wasn't very memorable but we tried it again. I ordered the house special pho and bf had the Bun Bo Hue. My broth was very mushroom tasting, not to sweet not to salty the meat was very tough and they give you a lot of it. The noodles were on the soft side but nevertheless if you are craving pho this probably one of the best options in this area to grab some. Bf enjoyed his bun bo hue. The flavors are quite different but there is still a kick and authentic-ness about it. Overall, a great meal on a very hot day.

Ikea

Me and bf were planning to browse some furniture at Ikea and we decided to have lunch there. We started off with ordering the swedish meatballs with mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce and gravy and for the price of $7.99 (family deal) you can have that plus a pop and the Diam chocolate cake. So we thought that was a better deal instead of paying approx $10 for just the meatballs and mash. We added 5 more meatballs for an extra $1.99 I believe. Bf ordered the fish and chips which came with fries and 2 fillets. This was surprisingly good. The fish was moist and not fishy and well fried and not oily. We also had the tomato bisque with feta (first time with feta) interesting flavours and not to tart. Overall, the meal came to be approx $25.00 for 2 ppl. Not bad at all. We ordered a bit much. We didn't really need the extra 5 meatballs and the dessert but that's ok. For cafeteria food expectations you can't really go wrong. Decent food for what it is.
