So, recent disappoint for our grad show is that David Carson bailed on us. He left us fully hearted with disappointment. We had a verbal agreement as well as a written agreement with him to come speak at the SFU building downtown but he recently was m.i.a and stopped contacting us for awhile. So, now we have to hustle and find another speaker for our industry night coming up in May. That only gives us less then 1 month to find someone. Hopefully, fingers crossed we will find someone more professional and more likely to keep their promises. I was looking forward to seeing David Carson and I was inspired by his work but after what happened I no longer want to know anymore then I already have about him. Anyways enough with the bad news recently, I visited my friend's husbands restaurant in Richmond: Ninkazu, located on Hazelbridge Way. Me and my classmates decided to go for lunch there for their all-you-can eat menu for $10! I haven't been to all-you-can eat in awhile so I said: why not?
Overall, the food is what you expect it to be at a all-you-can eat restaurant. Nothing really special, everything was mediocre. The scallop rolls were my favorite, wished I ate some more and there was no all-you-can eat sashimi for the menu which I was kinda disappointed about. But, here are some of the things I ate:
| very close to Aberdeen Centre |
| Ninkazu Japanese Restaurant |
| Teriyaki Chicken |
| Pan Fried Gyoza |
| Shrimp Tempura |
| California Roll, Salmon Roll, Dynamite Roll, Avocado Roll |
| Tonkatsu |
| Yakisoba |
| Salmon Nigri |
| Scallop Cone, Spicy Tuna Cone |
| Fried Chicken |
| Agadashi Tofu |
| Sunonomo Salad, Miso Soup and Spinach w/peanut sauce |
Overall I give this place a
☆☆/5: service was slow and the food was mediocre
