How tasty?

So, I had take out from Tasty Village in Burnaby yesterday and here's my views on the food. This place is a Shanghai-nese restaurant.

My mom said that the hot and sour soup is one of her favourite places for it. And I disagree with her. It's not as good as some places that I've tried because I feel as though there was much more "shanghai-nese" flavour in the soup then it is normally. Compared with other hot and sour soups I tried. But, I like this one better then the rest because its more sour then spicy. Which I prefer. But, tons of ingredients. They did not skimp on anything from tofu to shrimp to scallops. You get everything!

Hot & Sour Soup
Shanghai spring rolls & rice cake
Jellyfish
Fried Flat Rice Noodle with Beef in Soy Sauce
Shanghai Thick Noodle Soup

The spring roll wasn't your typical spring roll...the ingredients differ from a chinese spring roll..so it made it unique but the texture and everything was the same like eating a regular spring roll. The pastry was delicious..one my my faves the texture and the ingredients was very flavorful. The jellyfish was gross...it tasted like the sea. Was very bland. The soy sauce noodles lacked flavor and I prefer my noodles to be more firm. The soup noodle tasted like what my mom makes at home so there was nothing special about it.

Overall, I give this place  ☆/5
